Campanula Lactiflora Dwarf Pink – also known as bellflower pink




Campanula Lactiflora Dwarf Pink which is also known as bellflower pink is a hardy perennial. It can grow up to a height of 91 centimetres (36inches). This variety of Campanula has soft pink flowers. The bloom is from May to August. Its height in the first year is around 12 inches and then later in second year grows up to 36 inches. It is ideal as a border plant and for ground covers. It is used for decoration and as ornamental plan.
The flowers are bell shaped and beautiful. The foliage is herbaceous and green in colour. It is a first year plant. It grows well in most soil types. It needs full sun or partial shade and needs chalky or alkaline and well-drained to light soil. Its Soil pH requirements are 6.1 to 6.5 (mildly acidic), 6.6 to 7.5 (neutral) or 7.6 to 7.8 (mildly alkaline).

Growing conditions of Campanula Lactiflora Dwarf Pink

• It grows well in most soil types.
• It needs full sun or partial shade.
• It needs chalky or alkaline and well-drained to light soil.
• Its Soil pH requirements are 6.1 to 6.5 (mildly acidic), 6.6 to 7.5 (neutral) or 7.6 to 7.8 (mildly alkaline).
• Sow the seeds on the surface.
• Sow in February to June or September to October
• Do not cover the seed.
• Propagate at 15 to 18 centigrade temperature (59-68F)..
• It takes 14-21 days for the seeds to germinate.
• After seedlings are established, plant those 45cm (18”) apart after the risk of frost.
• Add mulch appropriately to ensure draining.

• Add compost and soil and water during growing season.
• Add fertilizer once in a month.
• Propagate at 15 to 18 centigrade temperatures (59-68F).
• Keep the soil moist and do not let it dry or overwater.
• Add mulch to ensure proper draining.
• Take care of the plant from Slugs and Snails.
• Check for the Leaf spots and Powdery mildew.
• Water regularly but do not overwater.
